UEFA Champions League qualification
There are a total of five matches being played tonight, and we have free football predictions out for two of them. Celtic is hosting the Swedish side Malmo, and we believe Celtic are overrated and recommend a bet on Malmo +0.75 – click here to read the prediction.
The current number one team in Switzerland and previous season league title holder, Basel, will play against the current league title holder of Israel, Maccabi Tel Aviv. This should be a very interesting match, and we are betting on Basel -1 – check out our prediction to get all the arguments for this bet.
Another interesting match is Rapid Wien v Shakhtar Donetsk. Rapid Wien impressed us in the last round, beating Ajax 5-4 on aggregate. Shakhtar Donetsk is a regular feature in the Champions League, and finished off Fenerbahce in the last round with 3-0 at home and 0-0 away. Shakhtar is the favourite with the bookies, but this looks like a very open match.
Valencia will host Monaco in the biggest match of tonight. The Spanish side is the favourite, but they have not started their season yet and have not impressed lately with 1-0-4 in last five pre-season training matches. Monaco has started their domestic campaign with a 2-1 win away to Nice and 0-0 draw at home to Lille, plus beating Young Boys in the previous CL round by 7-1. Valencia finished the previous Spanish season with impressive 15-3-1 stats and 42-10 goal difference on home turf, ending in a fourth place overall. So it is natural they are the big favourites, but Monaco should not be underestimated and this should indeed be a very interesting match to watch.
English Championship
Hull will host Fulham tonight, in a match between two teams that both got relegated from the Premier League last season. Hull should be the stronger side as they have a great squad for the Championship level and has started the season well. Fulham has not impressed so far in the start of the league, and we have a prediction for Hull -0.75.
The second Championship match we have a prediction for is Wolverhampton v QPR. Both teams have seen plenty of goals in their previous league matches, with Wolves averaging 2.67 goals per match and QPR averaging 3 goals. So our bet recommendation is for both teams to score, click here to get read the full prediction.
