World Cup, Group F betting tips

In World Cup group F we find Argentina, Bosnia Herzegovina, Nigeria and Iran. As you can imagine the Argentinians are big favorites. Here are the best Group winner odds we could find on the internet at the minute:

Iran has a decent squad. A squad that could create trouble for at least Bosnia and Nigeria on a good day! I still think that this group of players needs to play at a higher level in domestic football in order to mount a challenge for the knock out stages.

This Nigeria squad is free of superstars. Nigeria should be tough to beat though as they look well set up defensively. Up front they’ll mainly rely on solid Emenike of Fenerbache to do the damage. It will most likely hurt to play this bunch, but I do not see them creating a whole lot during 90 minutes of football.

Bosnia & Herzegovina has some world class players in their ranks. Begovic has been phenomenal in the Premier League. Miralem Pjanic is one of the most wanted central midfielders on the planet (currently with Roma), and up front they’ve got the machine; Edin Dzeko. They have a handful of very talented players, regulars at high level clubs in Europe surrounding these stars. We are actually dealing with a quality football side here.

The obvious favorite though is Argentina. They play their games close to the Argentinian border so it is very likely they’ll have massive support. They ship a side spearheaded by Lionel Messi. Perhaps the best footballer on the planet! Many are tipping the Argies to go all the way this year as they’d potentially have more energy in the knock out stages due to less heat where they play their group stage matches. They should definitely be able to win this group though.

To finish second in the group

Iran is out of the picture for me. They lack the final touches. Of the other two available candidates I have to pick Bosnia over Nigeria. There is simply too much quality in this Bosnian side. Nigeria has a lot of power, but Bosnia has some steel too. They also have more agile players with goals in them. 2.30 for Bosnia to finish second at Paddy Powers should be taken. If you agree;
