HAMBURG V WOLFSBURG: PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS 1x2
Hamburg (7-6-17) have four games to save their proud Bundesliga history, and all four games look very tough to me, starting here. At least two wins are needed, and given they have only won two of their last six its hard to be confident. A loss at fellow drop zone rivals last week was a disaster as it effectively pulled Hannover out of danger and narrowed it to any three from four. Injuries have also been cruel, but with the squad Hamburg have this cannot be used as an excuse for me. Wolfsburg (15-5-10) are in with a real shot of fourth place, and a Champions league qualifier slot. Recent form in the league is three wins, two draws and one loss, although they also suffered a midweek semi final cup loss in Dortmund. With plenty of spending power already shown it is rightly felt that Wolfsburg could prove a real force next year, and if they can get fourth spot it will make attracting big names easier. Four of the last five Bundesliga meetings of the teams have ended in 1-1 draws, but a draw does either side little good here. Lam(def), Beister, Van Der Vaart,Badelj(mid) and Lasogga(str) are all still out for Hamburg, with Benaglio(gk), Malanda(mid) and Dost(str) ruled out for Wolfsburg.

Wolfsburg play three of the strugglers in their next three and could have a big say in who goes down, as well as if they can get that fourth spot for themselves. I have kept telling myself that Hamburg can’t go down, but reality is finally starting to set in my mind as they turn in constant poor efforts. The fact is Wolfsburg will prove too good for them here, and at 2.30 it rates a great bet.
