STUTTGART V SCHALKE: PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS 1x2

Stuttgart (7-7-16) have lost just twice in seven, winning two, to pull themselves just out of the relegation zone for now. Wins are still needed though, and three of their last four fixtures are against top four sides, so it remains a tough ask. Schalke (17-7-6) are unbeaten in seven, winning five, and their excellent form has virtually assured a champions league slot for next season. What they would really love is to get second place ahead of city rivals Dortmund though, so expect no let ups in the performance of this swashbuckling oufit. One thing going for Stuttgart is that they have won this fixture here for the past three seasons, and have an overall impressive home record v Schalke. Leitner and Khedira(mid) miss out injured for Stuttgart, with Draxler(att mid) suspended for Schalke. Injury misses for the visitors are Fuchs, Hoewedes, Papadopoulos(def), Klemens and Hoger(mid).

Schalke at 2.70(17/10)Bet365 looks great value to me, as I have them as clear favourites for the game. Maybe the fact they are already in a Champions league slot, and Stuttgarts need for points are greater is the reason, but I cannot support this theory. While Schalke have a chance of wrestling second place from great rivals Dortmund they will not slack, and recent form shows this perfectly well. End of season always offers up some lob sided pricing with greater need to win etc. overly factored in, but the fact here is that Schalke are a thirty points better side than Stuttgart in Bundesliga. Surely this is reason enough to support Schalke at a huge 2.70.
