Lyon suffered their first Europa defeat in Plzen last matchday, but after a 4-1 home win still qualified comfortably. Fifth in the French league some way off the new big boys of PSG and Monaco, Lyon are no longer to be feared as they were up to a couple of years ago, but are still a decent side. Juventus are rightly favourites to lift the trophy, and with the final being held at their Turin home there is added motivation for them to do so. It was a shock to me that they failed to qualify from their Champions league group, and they have safely comr through two tough tests to get here. Clear leaders in Serie A in Italy, Juventus did suffer their first defeat in fifteen at the weekend to offer some hope for the task ahead. Bisevac, Fofana, Lopes,Umtiti and Dabo makes up a lengthy defensice injured list for Lyon, with Grenier and Gourcuff important midfield misses. Vidal(mid)is suspended for Juventus, with Barzagli, Ogbona and Peluso(def) all out injured.
Under 2.5 goals at 1.75(3/4)Bet365 looks the shrewdest goals bet on the game. France and Italy traditionally means low goals, and though Lyon have bucked the trend somewhat of late, I cant see more than a couple of goals in this. Only one of the last eleven Juventus matches has produced over 2.5 goals, and it looks a safe bet to me that this ends in under 2.5 goals.
