ECUADOR V FRANCE: PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS the story so far

Ecuador has a win and a loss so far both with 2-1 scorelines, and must better Switzerlands result against Honduras here to go through to the next stage. Against Switzerland they led 1-0 before going down to a last gasp defeat. Against Honduras they came from behind to get a deserved victory after having most of the play. They have quite a direct style of play which they will hope could ruffle up the French defence, and in Enner Valencia they have a striker in form, as he has grabbed all three of Ecuadors goals in the tournament so far. Defensively though they look very suspect, and always likely to concede.

France has begun their campaign in quite explosive fashion with an easy 3-0 win against Honduras followed by a hugely impressive 5-2 destruction of Switzerland. They led 5-0 there, and but for a missed penalty and the referees whistle it could have been 7 against a Switzerland side ranked 6 in the World. Defensive doubts remain for when they meet the very best, but the fact that Pogba and Griezmann started on the bench for the Swiss game shows the strength in depth of the France midfield, and with Giroud and Benzema up front it is a frightening prospect for the opposition to face. They need a point here to guarantee top spot in the group, and midfielder Cabaye is suspended for this after picking up yellow cards in the opening two games.

RUN OF PLAY:

Ecuador need to better the Swiss result, so must go for a win, while a point will assure France top the group. After watching both sides opening two matches goals look on the cards here in an exciting game, especially if France keep up their supercharged start to the tournament. The Ecuador defence is a big worry here against the France attacking threat, and though they can cause the French defence problems themselves everything points to another France win.
