Germany for me will comfortably win Group G, but who can claim the second qualifying spot? The U.S.A. have little chance in my book, and all three sides in the group should expect to beat them, so this leaves Portugal or Ghana to chase up the Germans. Ghana are decent, but will need to be at their very best to trouble Germany or Portugal, and a Ronaldo inspired Portugal can run up to the Germans. It would be a great loss to the tournament if Ronaldo was to exit at the group phase, and he can have a big say in ensuring that doesn’t happen.
