GREECE V IVORY COAST: PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS

Greece have yet to score and with just one point will need to do so here if they are to get the win that will give them a chance to progress. Well beaten in their opener v Colombia, they dug in resolutely after losing captain Katsouranis to a second yellow late in the first half against Japan to grind out a 0-0 result. Katsouranis will be suspended as a result, and though they have created chances in both games their play is too negative as a whole, and progression to the knockout stages looks unlikely.

Ivory Coast beat Japan 2-1 in their opener, after two late goals sealed the comeback, and they again left it late to get going against Colombia. Trailing 2-0 and seemingly going nowhere a fine Gervinho strike gave them the momentum in the latter stages, but they could not grab the equaliser in a game where they were second best for most of the game. Drogba was again on the bench, but like in the first game the Ivory goals came when he was on the field. As the group stands Ivory Coast look to need just a point to progress to the knockout stage, and their shaky defence will hope for a stress free evening from the Greeks. Zokora is suspended after picking up yellows in both games so far.

RUN OF PLAY:

Greece need to win this, but it is difficult to see how they can change their dour style of play, and with Ivory Coast looking to need just a point the game could pan out to suit them toget a win. The Ivorians have shown flashes that they are better than their displays so far, and they are without doubt the best of these two sides. Greece will most likely stick to the way they play hoping for a set piece or breakaway to nick a goal, but it could all end in tragedy for the Greeks.
