HONDURAS V ECUADOR: PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS

Honduras look to be the worst side at these finals, and seemingly their only hope looks to be to kick the opposition into submission. The physical approach led to the dismissal of one of their main men Wilson Palacios against France, and crucially he will be out suspended for this game as a result. In truth they offered nothing to offer up optimism for their remaining games.

Ecuador started well against Switzerland and where rewarded with the lead, but for some reason they then sat back and invited the Swiss to come at them which ultimately proved their downfall. Losing the game with virtually the last kick will have been hard to take, but they must pick themselves up for this must win game, and on what we have seen they should have too much quality for a poor Honduras.

RUN OF PLAY:

Honduras will no doubt continue their heavy handed tactics in an attempt to stop the opposition playing, and hope for a set piece opportunity or a mistake to get the chance themselves for a goal. Ecuador look suspect in defence, but that may not be too much of an issue here, although the team will need to be patient and keep their discipline against a side who will use spoiling tactics for sure. If they can do this then Ecuador should get the three points to keep them in the hunt for qualifying.
