HONDURAS V SWITZERLAND: PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS story so far

Honduras has lost both matches to date, and though a big win here could see them qualify it looks extremely unlikely. Outclassed and hammered by France in their opening game 3-0, capped off by the sending off of key midfielder Wilson Palacios (available again here after suspension), they fared much better in the 2-1 loss to Ecuador last time. Leading 1-0 they were always in the game with their aggressive and direct style, though ultimately went down 2-1, and they look the most limited side at these finals.

Switzerland opened with a come from behind 2-1 win over Ecuador, but were blown away by the French last Friday. The 5-2 scoreline actually flattered the Swiss with two consolation goals late on, and a usually sound defence was a complete shambles. A win here will probably still be enough to get them through, but they need to go for goals to turn around their poor goal difference in case Ecuador beat France in the other game.

Honduras will play their usual direct, hard hitting game and it will be up to Switzerland to rise above any aggressive tactics by them and let their extra class tell. Switzerland will still be smarting from their French lesson, but must put that to the back of their minds as they have to win this game, and the talented midfield could prove the key to them doing it here
