The Scottish Premiership promotion/relegation play-off first leg brings Championship runners up Hamilton up against Hibernian, attempting to retain their Premiership status. Hamilton have lost only once in their last fifteen, and beat Falkirk in the Championship play-off final 2-1 over two legs to get here. A regular season record of (19-10-7) saw Hamilton go close to automatic promotion, and an impressive home record (12-3-3) included a 10-2 win on the final day of the normal season, so they will be keen to take a lead to Easter Road for the return leg. Hibernian had a disastrous second half to the season, and have gone thirteen games without a win now, and have won only one of their last nineteen played. Goalscoring is also a big issue with just two goals registered in their last eight games, and it doesn’t look to promising for the Edinburgh side who could join their city rivals Hearts in losing their top flight status this season if they lose out over the two legs here.
